Learn more about literacy and learning for Early Talkers (birth to two), Talkers (two to three), and Pre-Readers (four to five).  

Use this Lexile/Grade Level conversion chart (pdf) to help you search for grade level books. Once you find the right reading level in the chart, you can do a general "keyword" seach in the library catalog. Just enter the lexile number (e.g., lexile 300) or grade level (e.g., grade level 1.8) to find a list of books that will be just the right reading level for your child.  To search for Lexile score for specific titles, try the Lexile Reading Level Conversion website.

An opportunity for young actors to portray the story of Gregor The Overlander

What: Read the book and create a Reader's Theater presentation.
