The Court Administrator for the Burlington Municipal Court is Marilyn Dite. The Burlington Municipal Court is responsible for processing citations Issued in violation of City Ordinances and some State Statues by the Burlington Police Department. The court set cases for arraignments, hearings, trials or probation revocation. Case variety includes, but is not limited to: · Criminal Traffic Cases such as Driving While Under the Influence (DUI), Negligent Driving 1st Degree, Driving While License suspended 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, and other criminal traffic violations; · Criminal, non-traffic cases such as Domestic Violence Assault, Theft 3rd, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass; · Traffic infractions such as Speeding, Failure to Stop at Stop Sign, No Valid Operator's License or No Insurance; · Other hearings that are held are charges such as Vehicle Impound, Seizure hearings, or Dogs at Large. Court Calendar: We have court on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Wednesday of each month. We also have scheduled jury trials on the 4th Friday of each month. You can find your court date by logging onto the JIS site for Washington Courts or calling the Burlington Municipal Court. Passports: We are also a designated and approved passport acceptance facility. If you need to apply for a new passport we have all the forms here, including renewal forms. We are available to answer any questions that you may have. You can also log onto the U.S. Department of State Passport site to download your application and obtain other important information on applying for a passport. We are able to process passport applications between 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. We do not process passports on Wednesdays due to a very busy court schedule. .
