The Burlington Fire Department is a full service combination Fire Department utilizing full-time and volunteer firefighters to staff and respond annually to approximately 1600 calls for service. The Burlington Fire Department provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical services for the City of Burlington directly, and for the surrounding unincorporated Skagit County Fire District #6 by contract. The entire service area includes more than 16,000 residents in an area of approximately 32 square miles. The Fire Department structures it public services to meet the daily demands of 45,000-60,000 citizens and visitors.
